Research methods training on evidence synthesis delivered by Dr Iona Huang, aimed to introduce the methods of systematic reviews and systematic maps. It covered key stages of the full processes (question setting, searching, screening, sources of bias/quality appraisal, coding, synthesis etc.) and useful tools for screening and data extraction (coding). A demonstration of a current project was provided. The workshop was delivered to those who had little experience in evidence synthesis methods.

25 people attended the session which lasted for 2.5 hours on 21 May 2019. It was organised by our partners from Kasetsart University. Participants included professors, lecturers, PhD students from Kasetsart University and other universities in Bangkok. Two British Council colleagues also attended.

As a result of the training, professors from KU expressed plan to use this method for their future research and funding applications.
